BPB Malaysia Gypsum Sdn Bhd
BPB Malaysia Gypsum Sdn Bhd is wholly-owned by BPB, which is part of Saint-Gobain, one of the world's 100 largest industrial groups. As a manufacturer of gypsum-based products which provides an extensive range of plasterboard systems for internal walls, wall paneling and ceilings, marketed under BPB brands.

BPB Malaysia Gypsum Sdn Bhd that was incorporated in 2003 serves the growing markets of Malaysia , Singapore , Indonesia and the Middle East , offering portfolio of systems to provide architects, specifiers and builders with leading edge and innovative interior solutions.

BPB Malaysia Gypsum Sdn Bhd houses a Solutions Centre and a Training Academy in its state-of-the-art facility in North Port at Port Klang. The Solutions Centre showcases BPB's comprehensive range of systems designed for professionals in the building industry. The Training Academy offers value-added services to train and provide hands-on experience to installers at no cost. It is equipped with a team of trained experts to provide comprehensive training on installation of BPB's systems.

In 2005, Saint-Gobain, one of the world's 100 largest industrial group acquired BPB, creating the world No.1 in building materials. Saint-Gobain operates in more than 50 countries worldwide and is one of the world's hundred leading industrial corporations, and fields a workforce of over 200,000. This is further supported by in house fire; acoustic and structural test facilities, which are accredited to international standards. BPB markets its building systems and complimentary products under a variety of brand names. It has interests in a wide range of associated building products and provides an extensive pool of knowledge and experience to the benefit of all its member companies.

We believe that all incidents of personal injury and occupational ill health are preventable. Commitment to the principles of Saint-Gobain Safety Charter and attaining its goals will be an essential objective.

All our employees, contractors and visitors have a right to expect a safe place of work. We are committed to providing high standards of occupational health and safety; to safeguard the well being of all those working for, visiting or living near our operations.

BPB Malaysia is responsible for ensuring that the highest standards of health and safety are set and maintained. This commitment will be monitored and supported by the Safety, Ethics and Environment Committee of the BPB Board and guided by the Saint-Gobain Group Health & Safety requirement. BPB Malaysia is also committed to ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994, Factories and Machinery Act 1967 and all other related legislations.

All employees are responsible for their own health and safety and that of their colleagues and others at work. We require and expect our employees and others on our sites to take personal responsibility for their compliance with our health and safety policies, procedures and practices.

To achieve our objectives we will:

Develop, design, operate and maintain facilities and processes that are safe and
  minimize risk to health.
Develop, introduce and maintain systems and procedures, which will establish
  standards of occupational health and safety and verify compliance with these
standards by regular auditing.
Set annual improvement objectives and targets and review these to ensure they are
being met at corporate and company levels.
Involve all employees in the implementation of this policy and provide appropriate
  guidance, training and supervision to enable employees and others to carry out their work and responsibilities in a safe and competent manner.
Develop and review health and safety measurable priorities and performance
  indicators including: accident and incident reporting; employee attitude questionnaires; training records; and audits.
